IRCC has just held a new Canadian Experience Class (CEC)–only Express Entry draw. If you’re in the pool or you’ve just received an ITA, the details of this round matter. On March 31, 2026 (Round #407), IRCC invited 2,250 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class, with a minimum CRS score of 509 and a tie‑breaking date of March 18, 2026 at 08:27:11 UTC. This was the smallest CEC draw so far in 2026 and fits the ongoing trend of more targeted, controlled invitation rounds. In the first three months of 2026, 30,250 CEC candidates and 55,830 total Express Entry candidates have received Invitations to Apply (ITAs). If you received an ITA, this is an important milestone — but not an approval. You now have 60 days to submit a complete, accurate electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR), including proof of your Canadian work experience, language tests, police checks, medicals and other required documents. Incomplete information, missing documents or inconsistencies can lead to refusals, and misrepresentation can have serious consequences. If you are in the CEC pool and did not receive an ITA in this round, it may be a good time to review your CRS score, explore ways to strengthen your profile and ensure everything is up to date.
