📊 New CEC Express Entry Draw: What 2,000 ITAs Mean

IRCC has issued 2,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry draw, with a minimum CRS cut-off of 521.

IRCC has issued 2,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a new Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry draw, with a minimum CRS cut-off of 521. On September 1, 2026, IRCC held Express Entry draw #439 for Canadian Experience Class candidates. In this round, 2,000 ITAs were issued, with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 521. When multiple candidates shared the same score of 521, invitations were issued based on who submitted their Express Entry profile earlier, using a tie-breaking date and time of August 18, 2026 at 03:24:13 UTC. Compared with the previous CEC draw on August 18, the number of invitations doubled from 1,000 to 2,000, and the CRS cut-off decreased from 523 to 521. A CRS score at or above the cut-off is only one piece of the puzzle. CEC applicants generally need at least one year (1,560 hours) of authorized, paid Canadian work experience in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation during the three years before applying, along with the required language level. Receiving an ITA does not equal permanent residence approval: invited candidates have 60 calendar days to submit a complete application and must ensure their CRS score remains accurate, that language results and other time‑sensitive documents are still valid, and that all evidence supports the information declared in their Express Entry profile. ATA Immigration can help you make the most of your invitation window by reviewing your ITA, confirming your Canadian Experience Class eligibility, and preparing a complete, well-documented permanent residence application aligned with IRCC requirements. 🧭 Learn more about Canadian immigration pathways and Express Entry: https://www.ataimmigration.com/immigration-canada 📄 Get support with your work experience and Express Entry documentation: https://www.ataimmigration.com/work-permit-canada 📅 Book a consultation to review your ITA and CEC eligibility: https://www.ataimmigration.com/book-online
