📊 New CEC Express Entry Draw: What The Numbers Tell Us

IRCC has just held another Canadian Experience Class (CEC)–only Express Entry draw, and the cut-off remains above 500. What does this mean if you are already in the pool or planning to enter soon?

IRCC has just held another Canadian Experience Class (CEC)–only Express Entry draw, and the cut-off remains above 500. What does this mean if you are already in the pool or planning to enter soon? In the latest Express Entry draw (#413) targeting the Canadian Experience Class, IRCC invited 2,000 candidates with a minimum CRS of 514. The tie-breaker date was 24 September 2025, which means that among candidates with 514 points, only those who submitted their profile before that date received an invitation. Recent CEC rounds show a pattern of relatively small draw sizes (around 2,000 invitations), and this is helping keep the CRS cut-off at a high level. For candidates in the pool, this confirms that competition remains strong, even within CEC-only rounds. While we cannot predict future draws, it continues to be important to focus on factors you can control: aiming for stronger language test scores, gaining additional Canadian work experience where possible, and exploring other lawful ways to increase CRS, such as education upgrades or, if appropriate, provincial nomination options. If you have just received an Invitation to Apply, remember that you typically have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application with all required documents. If you are unsure how these trends affect your strategy, or if you have an ITA and want to make sure you understand your next steps, professional guidance can help you reduce avoidable mistakes and use your time in the pool more effectively.
