IRCC has just held a Canadian Experience Class–specific Express Entry draw. Here is what the results mean and what invited candidates should be checking now. On August 18, 2026, IRCC invited 1,000 candidates in a Canadian Experience Class–specific Express Entry draw. The minimum CRS score invited was 523, and candidates ranked 1,000 or higher in the pool received Invitations to Apply (ITAs). A tie-breaking rule was applied based on profile submission time: where multiple candidates had a CRS score of 523, priority went to those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before August 17, 2026 at 22:09:00 UTC. This draw only considered candidates who qualified under the Canadian Experience Class. CEC generally requires at least one year (1,560 hours) of qualifying, paid Canadian work experience in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation within the three years before applying. That work usually must have been performed in Canada while you were authorized to work under temporary resident status, and you must meet the applicable language requirements and plan to live outside Quebec. Receiving an ITA is not permanent residence approval: IRCC still reviews your program eligibility, the accuracy of your Express Entry profile, your supporting documents and your admissibility. If you received an invitation in this round, this is the time to carefully review your profile and documents before submitting your application. Changes in employment, marital status, language results, education or other key details can affect your CRS score and eligibility, and Express Entry applicants generally have 60 days from the ITA date to submit a complete permanent residence application. ATA Immigration can help assess your CEC eligibility, verify your CRS score and review your application package before you file it with IRCC. 🧠Learn more about Canadian immigration pathways and Express Entry with ATA Immigration: https://www.ataimmigration.com/immigration-canada 📄 Need help reviewing your Express Entry profile or CEC eligibility before you apply: https://www.ataimmigration.com/service-page/review-consultation-2 📅 Prefer to speak directly with a licensed immigration consultant about your situation: https://www.ataimmigration.com/book-online
