The latest Express Entry round for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates has closed with a minimum CRS score of 805. What does that actually mean for you if you are exploring PNP as a pathway to PR? IRCC has held Express Entry Round #416, a PNP-only draw on May 25, 2026, issuing 334 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a minimum CRS score of 805. This is the highest PNP cut-off so far in 2026 and slightly higher than the previous round. There is also a tie‑breaking date of October 16, 2025, which means only candidates at or above 805 who submitted their profiles before that timestamp were invited. IRCC has not updated the pool distribution since May 10, so we do not currently have an official breakdown of how many candidates are in each CRS range. For PNP-focused candidates, it is important to remember that these very high CRS cut-offs reflect the 600‑point bonus from a provincial nomination. In many cases, a candidate’s underlying CRS may be around 200–300 before nomination. PNP-specific draws are designed to prioritize applicants that provinces and territories have already identified based on their own criteria and labour market needs. This does not mean that all Express Entry draws will require 800+ points, nor that a nomination guarantees PR approval, but it does show how powerful a nomination can be for boosting your ranking. If you are considering PNP as a strategy to strengthen your Express Entry profile, it can be helpful to assess your current CRS, understand which provincial streams might align with your background, and plan realistic next steps.
