🛡️ When Your Immigration Consultant Goes Silent

Paid an immigration consultant, your application was submitted… and then silence? No emails, no calls, no clear updates? You are not powerless in this situation.

Paid an immigration consultant, your application was submitted… and then silence? No emails, no calls, no clear updates? You are not powerless in this situation. If your representative has stopped communicating after you signed a retainer and your application was submitted, do not ignore it and just “wait and see.” You remain the main party to your application, and you have the right to know what was filed on your behalf and what is happening with your case. Start by contacting your representative in writing and asking for a clear update. Keep proof of your message. If there is still no response, you can request to cancel their representation and ask for a complete copy of your file: all application forms, supporting documents, submission confirmations, representative or explanation letters, and any correspondence from IRCC. For most IRCC applications, you can then either appoint a new authorized representative or handle the file yourself using the Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476). The most important thing is not to wait until there is a deadline, a request letter, or a refusal to act. If communication has broken down and you feel stuck, ATA Immigration can review what was done, help you understand the current state of your file, and discuss safe options for moving forward. 📄 Learn More About Managing Your Canadian Immigration Application: https://www.ataimmigration.com/immigration-canada 📚 Need Professional Support With Your File After a Communication Breakdown?: https://www.ataimmigration.com/book-online 📞 Have Questions About Your Current Representative or Application Status?: https://www.ataimmigration.com/contact
