📩 A Simple Daily Habit That Can Save Your Immigration File

One missed email can cost you an immigration opportunity — even when you were actually invited. A real example: a couple submitted an interest to sponsor both sets of parents. The wife saw her invitation, submitted a complete application and moved forward. The husband assumed he had not been invited. Only much later did he check his inbox properly and realize the invitation had been there all along — he had simply missed it, and with it, that intake opportunity. This type of situation is more common than people think. IRCC often sends important messages by email and through online accounts: invitations to apply, document requests, biometric and medical instructions, portal messages and deadlines. If these sit unnoticed in a spam folder, an old email account, or an IRCC profile you rarely log into, you may lose your chance and need to wait for a future round or reapply — with no guarantee of being selected again. A practical approach is to check your email (including junk/spam), and your IRCC or PR portal account once a day while your interest to sponsor or application is active. You do not need to refresh it every hour, but a consistent daily check can protect you from missing something critical. If you receive an invitation or request letter and are unsure what IRCC is asking for, ATA Immigration can review the instructions and help you plan your next step. 📘 Learn more about Canadian immigration options and processes: https://www.ataimmigration.com/immigration-canada 🧭 Need guidance on an IRCC request or invitation you received: https://www.ataimmigration.com/book-online 📅 Book a consultation to have your situation reviewed by ATA Immigration: https://www.ataimmigration.com/service-page/review-consultation-2
